Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026. Applies to the SkuSum website (skusum.com), the hosted tool (skusum.com/app/) and the SkuSum browser extension.

The short version: your Amazon reports are processed entirely inside your own browser. They are never uploaded, and we never see them. The tool has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

1. What the SkuSum tool does with your files

When you drop your Amazon reports (Orders, Settlement, Advertising) or your COGS file into SkuSum, all parsing, joining and calculation happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Specifically:

2. What is stored in your browser

SkuSum stores three small items in your browser's localStorage, on your device only: your light/dark theme choice, any journal account names you rename, and, if you apply one, your license key. None of them is transmitted anywhere; the license key is verified inside your browser with a bundled public key. You can clear them at any time via your browser settings.

One anonymous network request exists: the hosted web app fetches a small public list of revoked license keys (a static file on this site) so a leaked key can be disabled. The request carries no data about you or your reports, and if it fails the tool keeps working.

3. The browser extension

The SkuSum browser extension requests no special permissions. It does not read your browsing history, does not access other tabs or websites, does not run analytics, and does not communicate with any server. It simply opens the same local tool in a new tab.

4. What we do collect (website only)

The website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

5. Your rights

If you have submitted a form and would like your data corrected or deleted, email us and we will do it. Since the tool itself stores nothing about you, there is nothing else to delete on our side.

6. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Questions or requests: hello@skusum.com.
